Annelie Dominik

The Artist

Like many artists I am fascinated by the evolutionary nature of the creative process. My prime motivations include experimentation into the expressive qualities of color and the use of texture to create surfaces rich in contrast. My approach to painting is both intuitive and studied and I find that my mainly non-objective and abstracted compositions allow me to express the sheer joy of pictorial possibilities. I have always been interested in art and hold a Diploma in Graphic Design from the Harrow School of Art, London, England and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Alberta. I am a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and have participated in a number of juried and non-juried exhibitions in Western Canada before moving to Victoria in 2006. My works are in private and commercial collections in various parts of Canada.
